CA Malaysia Sees Further Lift For ICT In Budget 2007

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 25 (Bernama) -- Computer Associates (M) Sdn Bhd (CA Malaysia) expects Budget 2007 will further underscore the importance of ICT in the nation's development, enhancing its global competitiveness as well as attractiveness for foreign direct investment (FDI). CA Malaysia, a leading information technology management software company, would like to see more rebates and incentives in Budget 2007 to encourage SMEs to reinvest into the business, said managing director Queenie Wong. This is particularly in the area of research and development, international marketing, as well as ICT products and services that can help enhance operational efficiencies, boost security and manage IT resources, she said in a pre-budget statement released by CA Malaysia. With human capital playing a lead role, the company is also hoping more incentives and tax rebates to be offered for professional certification courses, seminars and training programmes to further beef up the country's pool of knowledge workers.
