Easy To Understand

The first thing you will need to do is to go through the courseware and familiarize yourself with it, you will then be in a position to go out and teach other people using my material. Private Training and On-Site Training

Which area would you like to work in? Well, you have a choice.

Personal training:
This the area that I started in. There is a huge market out there for "Personal Trainers". Small businesses are crying out for people, like yourself, to visit their premises and show them how to use the various applications. This small-business area is an area that is going to grow — and you want your name to grow with it.

Self-employed people do not have the inclination or time to go out to a training school for two hours, once a week, for six weeks. They want results NOW and you can provide those results.

This market is virtually untouched because most so-called private trainers do not posses the necessary training material with which to go out and teach people. It's no good going out with a copy of a book and teaching from that — it doesn't work! Yet this is what is happening at the moment. You can change all that and offer a unique alternative.

What you will be doing is to teach individuals, the self-employed and businesses how to use Windows, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. These are the bread and butter applications!

You can also send out one of my pre-written letters to "Computer Training Centers" offering your services as a - "Free Lance Trainer". This always brings a big response because you supply all your own material - which other trainers can't do!

Customized Training

Customizing your courses:
This is a unique service. You can use this method with the self-employed and those who are just starting out in a new business and need to get to grips with a computer quickly.

You show your clients all the different training lessons from a course index and then let your clients choose what they need to learn. You can then print off the appropriate material into a customized manual. Then either copy the necessary working data files to their hard drive, or work from the data files straight off the disk. I don't know any training school that can do this - or is even capable of doing it!

Don't worry if all this sounds a little overwhelming as I give on-going help and support for all your questions.

Step-by-Step:
You will have a course guide which shows exactly what is going to be taught to your client. You can also use these course guides to send out, with the appropriate information letters, to enquiries from other areas of the country. You can then charge a higher rate because of journey time and expenses.

To sum up:
If you decide to do "Personal Training" this is what it basically involves:

1. Advertise your services in your local paper or free ads paper. Or/and use the special A5 advertising leaflet.
   
2. If you are working, buy an answering machine. When you return home from work, return your phone messages.
    
3. Ask the client what course they would like to take.
    
4. Make your appointments, for a mutually agreed time.
    
5. Take your training manuals and data files over to your customer or customers (sometimes you will teach more than one person at a time)
    
6. Show them the contents of the course from the course index. Insert the floppy/CD disk, containing the lessons. Go through as much of the course, in the allocated time, as you can.
    
7. Then book your next appointment. I normally made it every seven days. This gave the client enough time to digest the material and put into practice their new skills.

Remember that this is just for private clients. After you gain experience and confidence you will progress to group training in companies and corporate bodies.

Sometimes your client will ask for a copy of the "training manual" and "data" disk so they can go over the material again. This is where you can make more money by selling them the course manual and a data disk. But please note: You never ever leave the training manual and data disks with your client unless, they pay for them.

You have a full set of specially prepared course notes that you give your client after they have taken each level of the course. So there is really no need to give them your manual and data files.

Open Your Own "Quicklearn Training Center"

Most IT training can be carried out at the clients premises - including large corporations. This does make it easy and cheap for you to provide training. However, with our "Courseware" you could quite easily provide instructor-led training in classrooms where clients come to you. Equipping classrooms would of course require some investment from you, where as, to provide on-site training, then no investment is needed ( apart from a printer and PC ).
